The wheel
Four gates. One turn, walked in order.
Most frameworks stop at the insight, or at the peak. IESI moves through all four gates in sequence, from first light to midnight, and returns to the beginning one layer deeper.
You can walk the turn once across a single held day, or turn it again over two to three days, each pass going further than the last.

Illuminate
What is actually here?
Most people arrive carrying a description of their life they have never once questioned. It was assembled early, by other people, under pressure. Illuminate is where that description is set down and looked at in daylight.
Nothing is fixed here. The only work is seeing clearly what is true, as distinct from the story that has been told about it. Clarity behaves like first light. It does not force anything. It reveals what was already in the room.
You leave with a map that is yours, in language you recognise, not one you inherited.

Expand
What wants to grow?
Seeing clearly creates pressure. Something now wants to move, and the question becomes what to feed. Expand is deliberate growth: real energy put behind the clear seeing, in the direction you chose rather than the one momentum was already carrying you.
It is demanding, and it is meant to be. The work is capacity: new practice, new range, new tolerance for discomfort, new proof that you are not who you were told you were.
You leave with a demonstrated new capacity, and the first honest sense that effort alone will not carry you further.

Surrender
What am I still holding?
There comes a point where the very qualities that produced the growth begin to limit it. Discipline becomes rigidity. The new identity becomes something to defend. Surrender is the release of the grip, not of the growth, which stays, but of the need to control it, prove it, or hold it in place.
This is the most tender gate, and the one most often skipped. It is held carefully, and given time set apart from ordinary life.
You leave when you stop defending the change and simply have it.

Integrate
How do I live this?
Everything gained so far is still, at this point, an experience. Integrate is the slow, unglamorous, entirely essential work of turning experience into structure: into daily practice, into relationships that hold the new shape, into how you meet a difficult Tuesday.
It looks like nothing at all, and it is where the value of the whole turn is either kept or lost. A turn that ends at the peak is selling a memory. Living the change surfaces the next thing not yet seen, and the turn begins again at the East.
There is no completion here. The gate becomes the way you live, until the next illumination begins.
One experience
Preparation, the live turn, and integration are one continuous experience, not three things bought separately.
The turn does not begin when you walk in, and it does not end when you leave. What comes before and after is part of the same movement of the wheel.
Before
Quiet preparation begins three to seven days ahead. The East opens before you arrive.
The live turn
A held day, guided gate to gate, in a small group of two to four.
After
Integration continues in an ongoing container, at low intensity, for as long as it is useful.
Who holds the space
The wheel is the method. The practitioner is present, not central.
IESI is guided by a single practitioner who holds the turn from the first day of preparation to the far side of integration. She does not do your work for you, and she will point you elsewhere when that is the honest thing to do.
You are guided, not managed. The experience creates the conditions. What grows from them is yours.

It suits people who have already done real inner work and feel that insight alone has not settled into how they live. It is not a rescue, a guarantee, or a crowd.
